Last night's MTV-hosted Video Music Awards definitely wasn't the most memorable as past years, but it had some shining moments.. as well as some lackluster ones.

- Allow me to just lead with this: Beyonce is (still) EVERYTHANG. I can wholeheartedly say that after two hours of suffering through mediocre performances, Queen Bey was the one redeeming quality of the show. She performed an entire medley of songs from her new album, which ended with the cutest closing of her family coming on stage - and Blue Ivy chanting "Go Mommy" - that didn't leave a dry eye in the house! Or was that just me? *sniffle*
